I've earned a decent living from freelance writing since 2006. I agree that many of the other things you've mentioned are lousy side hustles. You've got to have a following if you're going to make money from Patreon. No question. But I've seen people launch copywriting services and do pretty good. Not all the gigs are for veteran writers. If you have writing ability and can prove it, you can make money. But I wouldn't want to write product descriptions for bidets. In fact, I gave up product descriptions a long time ago. Stay away from Fiverr.
